LAUREN ASIMAKOUPOULOS

Flutist

Lauren Asimakoupoulos is a professional flutist and private teacher in the Greater Seattle area. Ms. Asimakoupoulos attended The Wheaton College Conservatory of Music outside of Chicago, IL where she received her Bachelors Degree in Flute Performance. In addition, she holds a Masters Degree in Flute Performance from the University of Tennessee. Recent accolades include winning the National Flute Association's Masterclass Competition in 2013, The University of Tennessee Concerto Competition in 2014, and the VCU Global Summer Institute of Music Concerto Competition in 2018. She has studied with flutists around the globe including Sandra Saathoff, Jennie Brown, Aleksandr Haskin, Lorna McGhee, and Tadeu Coelho. Lauren performs regularly with her wind quintet (Winds5), The Seattle Philharmonic and holds solo concerts. Lauren currently is a flute coach for the Cascade Youth Symphony, a clinician for several WA school districts and teaches privately on Mercer Island, WA (east of Seattle) and is also taking students via virtual platforms (Skype, FaceTime, Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
